Job Description DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under general supervision, performs difficult and sometimes complex inspection tasks.

Inspects various facets of work on the construction site and performs continuous surveillance of assigned construction activities to ensure compliance with all applicable codes, standards, and specifications.

Documents nonconformance and may participate in determining appropriate resolution.

Performs destructive and nondestructive tests on metals and other materials through magnaflex, dye-penetrant, radiographic, tension and compression, paint thickness, and resistivity.

Performs surveillance of underground piping to ensure tightness, bedding, and grade.

Validates piping systems, including P&ID checks and hydraulic or other pressure tests.

Provides general inspection on all construction labor and subcontracted tasks to ensure professional workmanship.

Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures

Participates in the development of job safety practices and in the preparation of safety reports.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited Institution to the approval of the Engineer. Minimum 8 years demonstrable experience of supervision of M&E installation projects of which not less than 3 years shall be in sewerage treatment works, pump stations or equivalent projects.

Must have experience in construction involving pumps, piping and other item installations and testing, PLC, SCADA System Control & Automation etc.

Must have experience in supervision of control & instrumentation and software & hardware installation activities on a variety of public infrastructure projects including treatment works, pump stations, coordination & interfacing with Operation & Maintenance (Drainage) Department existing system in the Master Station, Testing & Commissioning etc.
